When we envisioned the GroundHog, we wanted to build a unique and superior antenna in the marketplace. An antenna that could do it all without being too complicated to install and use. On the ground is a hard place to be, and we wanted to make something robust and ready. Something the user could depend on.
Building a unique antenna is not always a straight path, and that’s when Chief Engineer Roger Owens defined and implemented our patent-pending technology called dynamic tuning. This unique technology solves most antenna applications because it is extremely durable and requires no retuning on any installation between 600MHz to 6GHz.
Why Is Dynamic Tuning Revolutionary to the End-User?
Dynamic tuning enables users to install the GroundHog antenna without worrying about LTE carrier service changes or future band requirements. The GroundHog will self-tune for best RF performance within 600MHz to 6 GHz and can be placed on Metal or Fiberglass/Composite pit lids.
After building the first GroundHog prototype, we sent it away to a third-party verification lab, and it was found to maintain an 85 to 95% efficiency across its entire frequency range.
The GroundHog is Rugged
The GroundHog can endure flooding, extreme heat, and heavy loads. The GroundHog is made to hold its ground. It was run over 600,000 times during testing by a truck loaded with steel weighing 70 tons.
